About CT
You might be thinking, “Who’s this guy calling himself the CEO?” Don’t worry, I’m not that full of myself— it’s just my initials! Christopher Edward Overton Thomas, or just CT.
I’m a Chicago native with a touch of ATL (college days do indeed swiftly pass) currently based in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. A dynamic and versatile leader with 8+ years in event curation and operations and 10+ years in finance & accounting. My unique expertise bridges the gap between analytical precision and creative strategy, empowering me to drive successful projects and activations. Driven by a passion for community building, I utilize my diverse experiences to innovate, problem solve, and deliver outstanding results in high pressure environments.
MY work
Roots Picnic + AT&T
The Ask: Support AT&T's VIP brand activations at the Roots Picnic as part of the Beyond8 team, subcontracted by Live Nation Urban.
Identified a critical gap in event planning and independently built the artist meet and greet program from the ground up, coordinating VIP access, securing credentials for AT&T and Roots content teams, and managing artist movement from the artist compound to activation spaces.
Managed the live production workflow for AT&T's content activation, coordinating footage captured on spherical first person "selfie" recording devices, transferring files to an on site editing trailer, and ensuring a 20 to 30 minute turnaround for footage to air on festival wide screens. Served as the primary on site liaison between security, content teams, and talent, functioning at a Production Coordinator level throughout the engagement.
Additionally facilitated artist transportation logistics, including escorting talent through festival grounds. Artists supported: Jermaine Dupri, Carin Bailey Rae, T.I., and Mariah the Scientist."
